Day 31. Going to prison

I went 35 miles in a 30 mile zone, so we had to go to prison - Mansfield Reformatory. This prison was in 1993 planned for demolition, but was instead used as a set for the movie Shawshank Redemption - one of my favorites. It was both scary and fascinating to see the prison cells and the way people lived here. The decay was both scary to look at but also beautiful and a weird way.

This prison was also used in "Air Force One" with Harrison Ford and a few other movies where is was the set of a Russian prison. This was the days only stop, but we also spend 4 hours here. Cool place. :-)
